Genesis Magma Racing is bringing the noise to the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans, using the world’s biggest endurance race as a key moment in their journey toward joining the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship with their all-new Hypercar, the GMR-001.

What’s Happening:

  • First Look at the GMR-001 in Europe
Fans will get their first in-person look at the full-scale GMR-001 Hypercar model in Europe. It’ll be the centerpiece of the Genesis Magma Racing booth in the Manufacturer Village at Le Mans.

  • A Crucial Step in the “Trajectory” Program
Le Mans 2025 is a milestone in Genesis’ “Trajectory” development year. It’s all about getting the team—and potential drivers—ready for the full WEC campaign in 2026.

  • Teaming Up with IDEC Sport
Genesis is working with the IDEC Sport team this year, and several Hyundai Motorsport staff are embedded to get real-world experience in all aspects of race operations.

  • LMP2 Racing Debut for Trajectory Drivers
Genesis-backed drivers Jamie Chadwick and Mathys Jaubert are taking on the legendary Le Mans circuit in the LMP2 class, joined by veteran André Lotterer in the #18 car. It’s not about points this time—it’s about learning and gaining endurance experience.

  • A Booth That Tells a Bigger Story
At the Genesis Magma Racing booth, fans can check out the hypercar, explore a multimedia Brand Wall that shares Genesis’ journey, and even grab or win limited-edition Le Mans merchandise.

  • Sharing Progress and Future Plans
The team will also make a special announcement during the week, updating fans and media on how development is going and what’s next for the GMR-001 and the race team.

  • Experience Before Expectations
Chadwick and Jaubert are using this as a development opportunity—learning to race through the night, handle changing conditions, and tackle the 24-hour format. And they’ve got the support of three-time Le Mans winner Lotterer to help guide them.

  • Countdown to 2026 Begins Now
As Team Principal Cyril Abiteboul puts it, Le Mans 2025 is the start of the final countdown—365 days to go before Genesis hits the grid with its Hypercar for real.
