Welcome to the Jungle: Hublot’s Big Bang MECA-10 and its concrete case is a nod to NYC

Hublot's latest release, the Big Bang MECA-10 Concrete Jungle, is a wild tribute to both New York City and the raw elegance of concrete. Once seen as strictly utilitarian, concrete is now having a high-design renaissance-loved for its texture, tone, and surprising sophistication. In this limited edition 44mm timepiece, Hublot transforms the gritty material into something unexpectedly refined, echoing the city's dynamic mix of edge and artistry.

Encased entirely in matte concrete, the watch is anything but ordinary. Polished and micro blasted titanium H screws frame the case, which is topped off with a satin finished titanium crown wrapped in black rubber. It is strong, unapologetic, and water resistant up to 50 meters, just like the city that inspired it.

At the heart of this watch is the HUB1201, Hublot's in house, skeletonized manual movement. Made up of 223 parts and featuring twin barrels, it offers a remarkable 10 day power reserve. A red rack and pinion indicator makes it easy to see how much energy remains. The movement is a work of art, raw, precise, and beautifully engineered, reflecting the spirit of Brutalism and mechanical mastery.

This is the third chapter in Hublot's Concrete Jungle series, following earlier editions in 2016 and 2020. It also marks the opening of Hublot's new Fifth Avenue flagship boutique, whose concrete and black aluminum facade mirrors the watch's urban luxury style. The timepiece comes with two interchangeable straps, a grey Velcro fabric and a signature black rubber, swappable via Hublot's One Click system.

Packaged in a special edition box featuring the New York City skyline, this watch is a wearable love letter to the city that never sleeps. Rugged yet refined, it is now available exclusively at Hublot's new Fifth Avenue boutique and online.
